My Personal Philosophy Statement

All Fords are exactly alike, but no two men are just alike. Every new life is a new thing under the sun; there has never been anything just like it before, never will be again. A young man ought to get that idea about himself; he should look for the single spark of individuality that makes him different from other folks, and develop that for all he is worth. Society and schools may try to iron it out of him; their tendency is to put it all in the same mold, but I say don't let that spark be lost; it is your only real claim to importance. ~Henry Ford US automobile industrialist (1863 - 1947)

Dear Reader,
I believe that no matter who you are, what you are, or what you will become, you are of some importance in this world. Every creature great or small, breaths and lives for a reason, whether it is to give the eyes a pretty sight, like a flower would, or be a friend to someone in need. Every living thing in my life has held incomprehensive meaning, and they are what makes me who I am. Daily, I am surrounded by friends, family, teachers, and coaches that play importance roles to the growing of me. Out in the world, everyone has some task to complete, or some goal to meet, but maybe for one second they could stop to appreciate the significance of everything around them.

I love flowers, animals, and fruit almost as much as people that I come in contact with. They each have their own language through taste, smell, sounds, or looks. Some are there for comfort, while others may seem to be there insignificantly, but they are really hidden in the background for a purpose. For example, if you place flowers in a gray room the surroundings will automatically look brighter. Some animals, especially dogs, are found as companions to humans. It has always been said that the dog is man's best friend. Until I was 13 my family has a precious dog named Caramel. I grew up with her and she will always be part of what I am, even though she passed away near to 2 years ago now.

To everyone out there who possibly doubts about themselves: You are important. You are part of something bigger. You are living in a world where everyone is searching for someone to love or someone to befriend! If you feel alone or lost, don't stop searching for the person that is searching for you!

I believe that each person is unique in their purpose and that they are rapidly traveling towards a destiny that is not yet discovered. I have walked the short 15 years of my life looking for things, yet perhaps deep down I know that I should let these things find me. For years I have played the sport of softball, and just last year I discovered the amazing life of theatre. It was hidden from me and I found out about it through my choir class. I tried out for the play Beauty and the Beast, and I did not make it in. However, that did not stop me from participating. I became a part of the construction crew and then found that I had a talent for creating things, and I was therefore able to add the production in my unique way. Every person in that production was important, no matter if they had the lead role, a small role, or were a techie.

Sometimes I think that people are wandering around, waiting for something to grab them out of the state that they are in. Sometimes I think that people could care less about their lives but I know that inside reside troubles that I cannot see. Yet sometimes, it looks like people know exactly where they are going. Do they really know that? Every person is important and here for some reason, and maybe they have found themselves, or at least found what they think they are. Perhaps people are here to keep looking until the end of their time. The ways of this world are continually changing, therefore I believe that people must be changing and directing their ways elsewhere every moment of their lives through their decisions.

When I go to school every day I am greeted by close friends, acquaintances, and strangers. Each one of them is a silky path in a giant spider web. They have their own paths that they are traveling, and I often wonder how God can keep track of all of them because I definitely can't. Constantly, I will ask friends which class they are going to for the millionth time, but I never seem to remember! Each of my friends and every one of those strangers has a purpose for their lives. They are one of the people that are searching, hiding, or reveling in a find about what they are! I should spend more time with my friends talking about what they want to become because finding what they wish for, and have yet to obtained, lets me know more about them. Dreams are the most secretive thoughts that a person has, and when you hear them you learn some of the most important information that a person can hold.

Reader, do you ever feel like you are traveling in circles? Don't be discouraged, for you are someone and you are unique. You are here for a purpose, as am I, and everyone else that walks the paths beside or opposite of us.

Most Sincerely,
